Description

In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve with 1 original Beatles Capitol orange-yellow swirl label 45 RPM record. Here is the info:

  • “YELLOW SUBMARINE” b/w “ELEANOR RIGBY” by The Beatles

  • This is Capitol Records 5715.

  • This record was released August 5, 1966.

  • This ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE is in STRONG VG+ CONDITION. There are a couple of SMALL and VERY light/slight folds at a couple of the corners. There is some VERY LIGHT disc impression, several very light bends on the top flap and JUST A HINT OF VERY LIGHT ring wear. Often this picture sleeve is found with very noticeable ring wear. BUT NOT THIS ONE! And the sleeve is mostly flat. There is an old red store sticker price tag on one side and a faded “98” stamped beside the price sticker.

  • What’s REALLY NICE about this sleeve is the fact that there is just a hint of very light ring wear. (This dark-toned sleeve is NOTORIOUS for easily showing wear, especially ring wear, that often marred this crimson-colored picture sleeve.) As you can see in the images, this sleeve is NOT affected by such wear!

  • FURTHERMORE, there are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS and NO WRITING on the sleeve.

  • This is a Straight-cut (EAST COAST) Sleeve.

  • The VINYL is in NEAR MINT (NM) CONDITION. The labels are nice and clean without any wear.

  • The vinyl was probably pressed at Capitol’s Scranton Plant. There is no pressing plant symbol in the trail-off vinyl.

IT’S A VERY NICE COPY OF THIS BEATLES’ PICTURE SLEEVE AND RECORD to add to your Beatles’ vinyl collection!!

Thanks to the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records, 6th Edition by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels for some of the information about this record and picture sleeve.
