IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” by the Beatles  

·       This LP is Capitol Records ST 2553.

·       This is a STEREO RECORD

·       The cover is a Capitol-marked cover.

·       This LP was issued June 20, 1966.

·       According to Perry Cox, this LP was pressed at Capitol Records’ Scranton plant based on no number printed on the rear cover at lower right and based on the triangle with IAM inside etched in the trail-off wax. Therefore, this “No Number” Scranton cover and Scranton vinyl are correctly matched.

·       NOTE: Some sellers will switch vinyl and covers either intentionally or accidentally in order to create a near mint but mismatched item to sell. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.

·       The COVER is in STRONG VG/WEAK VG+ CONDITION and still in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. The shrink wrap has “breathe holes”. Although the cover is still in shrink wrap, there is moderate wear on 3 corners (top right and bottom corners) and some light wear and some aging of the white slicks along the opening (top and bottom) on both front and rear, and at the bottom corner of the spine. There is 1.5 inch split in the shrink wrap at the bottom right corner at the opening beside the word “Today”, a 1-inch x ¼ inch split at the bottom left corner, a small dime-sized piece of shrink missing midway at the opening, and a 1.5 inch split at the top right corner at the opening. The discoloration on the bottom seam near the bottom right corner of the front cover near the opening is on the shrink wrap, not on the cover, and the same is true on the reverse cover on the bottom left seam near the opening where the discoloration (that looks like old scotch tape) is on the shrink wrap, not on the cover.

·       The VINYL is VG+ with a few light surface hairlines/scuffs.

·        The correct orange Capitol inner paper sleeve is also included.

·       It’s a NICE  COPY of this LP if you’re looking for one for your vinyl collection.
