Beatles Yesterday And Today (Trunk Cover) Capitol Stereo LP in Nice Condition

I am selling more extra copies of BEATLES LPs from my collection. So, please check my other auctions, too.

 In this auction: 

·       “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” by the Beatles  

·       This LP is Capitol Records ST 2553.

·       This LP is a STEREO Pressing.

·       This LP was issued June 20, 1966.

·       This is the “Trunk Cover” that replaced the infamous “Butcher Cover”. This is NOT a Second State (paste over) Butcher cover.

·       This PRIMARILY WHITE COVER has always been very prone to show even the slightest bit of wear and a difficult cover to find in this NICE, CLEAN and WHITE, CONDITION without wear, staining, or soiling.  

·       According to Perry Cox, this LP, with COVER constructed of cardboard with cover slick pasted on, was issued from Capitol Records’ Scranton pressing plant. This is based on the fact that there is no number printed on the rear cover at lower right.

·       The VINYL has a triangle (?) containing the letters “IAM” in the trail-off. This is the symbol Capitol Records used to identify vinyl pressed at its Scranton Pressing Plant.

·       THEREFORE, this cover and vinyl are correctly paired (as they were issued) from the same Capitol pressing plant.

·       NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with a higher grade cover and vinyl, but NOT correctly matched to the same pressing plant. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.

·       The COVER is in NICE VG+ CONDITION. Only a small push and some wear on the bottom right corner at the opening, a tiny bit of wear on the top left corner at the top of the spine and light aging of some of the white cover keep me from grading the cover higher. There are NO seam splits, NO writing, and NO ring wear. The seams and spine are strong.

·       The VINYL is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. There are just a few very light surface hairlines/scuffs. The vinyl has lots of gloss.

·       This record was originally issued inside an ORANGE CAPITOL RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE. That is the correct sleeve for this LP, and it is included.

·       Due to its primarily white cover, this is a really tough LP cover to find in this nice and clean condition.
