Description
Original second state Beatles "butcher cover" from 1966. This is a west coast pressing (#6) and will require a chemical peel if you so desire to remove the top paper slick (pic #9). The top right corner of the front cover has a slight tear where it looks like someone tried to peel the first layer off and ending up taking it to the cardboard (pic #3). There are two slight rub outs above George's head that expose the original grey cover underneath (pic #5). The top and bottom corners clearly show a paste over (pics #6 & #7). The bottom of the trunk is cropped slightly above the edge of the paper slick (pic #4). Although you can't see Ringo's black collar (because the cover is severely discolored) you can see the vertical lines from the original textured paper that is under the new cover (pic #13). The album cover is measured shorter than a normal Lp because they had to trim the edge from the new cover slick (pic #14). The vinyl is in poor condition with lots of scratches, skips and surface noise (pics #11 & #12) Comes in original inner sleeve (pic #10). The spine has some splitting (pic #8) but the top and bottom look fine. Looks GREAT in a frame. More pics upon requests.
