Description

Beatles Yesterday and Today ST 2553 (Lot). Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

For your consideration is a collection of rare 1966 Beatles "Yesterday and Today" memorabilia. The collection includes:

1) Third State mono album cover (no album). The cover was matted and framed at one point. The frame is gone and all that is left is the mat. The cover was professionally peeled and restored.

2) Second State stereo, black label, "Butcher Block" cover in fair condition. See pictures for details. The sleeve is 3/4 of the way split on the top and bottom and the remnants of masking tape that once held them together remain. While the spine is intact some surface tears and scratches exist. The artists, album title, and serial number are visible. There is a blue ink scribble mark on the back and a faint "Z99" scratched into the front next to John's right shoulder.

3) Stero, black label, early press album, NOT a "Butcher Block" cover. Sleeve is 100% split along the spine and bottom, the top of the sleeve is intact. See pictures for details.

4) Stereo, purple label, Gold Record Award in good to very good condition.

5) Mono Stage I album slick. Possible reproduction. See pictures for details. A separate "Let It Be" slick is stuck to the back with adhesive.

These items are sold as part of an estate sale. Unfortunately there is no history or provenance to accompany. They are every bit of 53 years old but undoubtedly well enjoyed. They are perfect for the beginning collector or for anyone that simply wants to add to their hoard.
