Beatles Yesterday and Today Stereo - ST2553!!!
Not quite sure where to start but here is a pristine pressing of what state is always a question in mind Butcher or not that is. Since I am not the expert on this album you will need to be the judge on what you see and what I can describe.
Cover is in excellent condition. No tears, splits or writing. There is a number 5 next to the RIAA. The front pasting is not squared on the cardboard as you can see in the photo.
The yellow 66 sleeve in excellent condition as well. No tears, splits or writing.
Vinyl sounds crisp and bold with no or barely any background noise. Has a couple of minor paper scuffs.
Rainbow labels are fine and bright with a few spindle marks.
All components are kept separate to prevent wear.
Now here is what I found to help a little with the history.
In the United States, Capitol Records printed approximately 750,000 copies of Yesterday and Today with the same photograph as "Paperback Writer". They were assembled in Capitol's four U.S. plants situated in different cities: Los Angeles; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Jacksonville, Illinois. Copies from the various plants may be easily differentiated by examining the number printed near the RIAA symbol on the back; for example, stereo copies from the Los Angeles plant are designated "5" and mono Los Angeles copies are marked "6." Mono copies outnumbered stereo copies by about 10 to 1, making the stereo copies far more valuable today.
