Description

As you can see from the white inside insert- it is parlaphone an import banned cover in the united states, but not in Europe, so it is made in great Britain, with capitol label to recreate the biggest screwup of ruining the first print of the "Butcher Cover", that was rejected by distributers.

I purchased this import after I read that this very clear digital photocopy cover- is from first edition of one of the only albums that survived, owned and sold by Ringo Star.

I sold one of these to a private buyer in Germany, this is the last copy.

Other listings have only the slick no record, or not a beatles record. I had to buy 3 grand worth of records for this to be in there, I beleive the price for this record will only go up.

I have a question you can't beat, how come these records don't exist in Britain if only United Stated disaproved of the Butcher Cover. real nice, Mint Condition. Beatles Yesterday & Today, these imports don't  come sealed, Import LP in clear plastic resealable protector. Brand new LP yellow vynil Capitol Records Label ~ 33 1/3 RPM. The album is remembered primarily for the controversy surrounding it's original cover image, it was taken by photographer Robert Whitaker, cover shows the band dressed in white coats and covered with decapitated baby dolls and pieces of raw meat. Although the photo was intended to be part of a larger work critique exceeded managing the Beatles, the band members insisted it was a statement against the Vietnam War. Others interpreted it as the Beatles protesting the record company's policy of "butchering" their albums for the North American market. In response to outrage from record retailers, the LP was withdrawn and the cover replaced with a shot of the band posed around a "steamer" trunk.

This originalButcher Cocer reissue is in Psychedelic bright one color "yellow" to appease to Beatles fans.
