CONDITION
Disc
Visual: EXCELLENT+
A wonderfully preserved copy which looks mint in strong daylight and is free from any marks. Under a bright halogen desk light nothing more is revealed other than the odd faint surface mark and whispy sleeve removal marks. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXC+/MINT-
A superb sounding disc. There is very little if any deterioration to the sound quality. Tracks such as ‘The Night Before’ and ‘You’ve Got to Hide your Love way’ have unmistakable analogue sound. The easily damaged ‘Yesterday’ is free of any noticeable surface noise. There is the usual loss of quality to the inner most tracks ‘Ticket To Ride’ and ‘Dizzy Miss Lizzy’ but other than that it is very difficult to fault this superb audio. The record does not jump or stick.
Labels: EXCELLENT+
There are some spindle trails visible to each label. All lettering is unworn and there are no marks or writing to either label. Side two has the KT tax code.
Cover
EXCELLENT+
An original 1965 1st issue patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse cover in immaculate condition. The cover still has a starchy rigidity. The front high gloss laminate is completely unworn and retains its original freshness. On close inspection a very light thumbnail crease is visible to the front panel and a small area of damage is visible at the tip of the top left corner. The back panel is in immaculate condition save for the aforementioned corner bruise. The spine is uncrushed and intact as are all the flipbacks. An extremely well preserved cover which retains its original white cream colour and has not yellowed with age; now very rare in this condition.
Inner-sleeve Excellent +
Original and correct Emitex rice paper inner.
