The Beatles
Meet the Beatles
U.S. Capitol T 2047, mono.
The album that launched Beatlemania in the U.S. And still factory sealed with original price sticker!
Cover condition: Still sealed, but not mint. Overall the condition is about excellent. There is only the slightest bit of ringwear and the spine and seams are intact and not split.
A piece of shrinkwrap about a half inch by one inch is missing from the bottom front cover and about 1"x3" on the bottom back cover. Another section on the back is separated about 5" but still in place and adhered to the wrap by a small piece of removable tape. The shrinkwrap is also separated about 2 inches at one spot on the top. There is also what appears to be minor water staining in the lower left corner of the back cover and a tiny bit of the lower front cover, as seen in the pictures.
A nice find considering the rarity of sealed original mono Beatles LPs. And Meet the Beatles, because of its historical significance, will always be among the most collectible titles.
On the back cover, the factory number next to the RIAA logo is 6 (Los Angeles), and George Martin is not credited. Breathe holes are present on the shrinkwrap as is usually the case.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
