Atco Records jumped on the Beatles bandwagon in 1964 and released the only Beatles product they owned, the sessions the group had done with Tony Sheridan in Hamburg. The only song from those sessions on which a Beatle actually sang lead was Ain't She Sweet, with a lead vocal by John Lennon. This single, Atco 6308, was released on July 6, 1964 with Ain't She Sweet as the A-side and Nobody's Child as the B-side. There are at least two label variations for the B-side, and this one gives credits to "Hill & Range, BMI" and "Arr. By Sheridan". THIS RECORD DOES NOT HAVE A DRILL HOLE. The reason I mention that fact is that many copies do. The extremely rare picture sleeve here, however, does have a hole the size of a BB. Both the record and sleeve have been counterfeited, however, these are genuine. The record's label print is sharp and clear, and the vinyl is smooth. The vinyl, in fact, looks hardly played. I would grade it as a VG+. The sleeve is straight cut at the top and the print and graphics are sharp and clear. I would grade the picture sleeve as a VG+ also. This is a good-looking record and sleeve. Don't miss this. You don't see these every day.
