Please, allow me to introduce myself quoting another old rock cliché: maybe I am too young on ebay but too old into this triptych of buy, sell and trade records as I’ve not only been a dedicated follower of collecting but a co-owner of second hand record shops, an A&R executive at record companies, a chief editor in music magazines, a radio dj etc for the last 30 years in Greece! So, a hell of a lot of rare and collectable items such as out-of-print original records, first pressings, special editions, promo samples, white labels, test pressings, magazines, posters, catalogues, memorabilia and other fetish objects of desire in 5, 7, 10 and 12 inches not only from Greece but from all over the world are going to be exhibited through these pages … Turn on and stay tuned!
So, up for auction is a fine PROMOTIONAL copy of the vinyl repress of Iveys’ "Maybe Tomorrow" album. This remastered reissue is consisted of two 12-inch records - the first, featuring the original album that was released back in 1969, plays at 33 and 1/3 rpm and the second, containing four bonus tracks recorded in 1968 / 1969, plays at 45 rpm - housed in original generic “Made In Great Britain” white inner sleeves into a deluxe glossy gatefold sleeve, was released in the UK by Apple in 1992 with Catalogue No 7 98692 1 / SAPCOR 8 and stamped Matrix Nos SAPCOR 81 A-1-1-1- [33 & 1/3 - A side], SAPCOR 81 B-1-1-1- [33 & 1/3 - B side], SAPCOR 82 A-1-1-1- [45 RPM - A side] and SAPCOR 82 B-2-1-1- [45 RPM - B side]. Such a copy was imported in Greece by the local office of EMI, EMI Greece S.A., and was given away as a promotional copy - that's what the 3 x 2 cm white & orange promo sticker on the upper right corner on the back reading ?????? ?????? [FREE SAMPLE in Greek language] clearly states! Deleted upon release and unavailable for more than 20 years this must - have item for every devoted fan of this band that became famous as the Badfinger, does not get offered up so often! I personally write all of my own descriptions, take all of my own photos, and package all items for mailing myself. Strict packing policies applied. Shipment of items by HELLENIC POST, i.e. the POST OFFICE of GREECE, and REGISTERED AIR MAIL ONLY within 2 business days of cleared payment.
