Jolly What! The Beatles and Frank Ifield Album VJLP 1085

Rare Jolly What! England's Greatest Recording Stars, The Beatles and Frank Ifield On Stage Album by Vee-Jay Records. Number VJLP 1085. This is the more common FIRST version with the "Jolly What!" subtitle and portrait of a British Statesmen wearing a Beatle Wig. This controversial album is referred by collectors as the "old man" cover.The LP was released February 26, 1964. It was issued in both mono and stereo with three different label styles- black label with colorband and oval logo; with colorband and brackets label; and an all-black label with silver print. This version style has colorband and brackets. All originals have printing on the spine. It consist of four Beatle's songs and eight Frank Ifield songs.

Condition
Overall, the record is excellent shape. There are a few scratch marks on both sides, but none of which affect play. Tons of sheen, sounds great!! The album sleeve is a Vee-Jay original, with a pictorial of other albums from that time, and is ripped in top left corner. Also the top is folded and the right side is split half way. The ACTUAL album cover is "vintage", so therefore it looks vintage. Still in good condition with few wear and tear around the edges.
