Description

Let It Be 1970

PXS 1: PCS 7096

Matrix: YEX 773-2U and YEX 774-2U

Stampers: 1(G)GMA and 4TD: The letter (G) used under the 1st mother is not uncommon with EMI pressings

Listed as PXS 1 (although, rather oddly, not printed anywhere) the Let It Be boxed set is comprised of the following:

Outer Slip Case:

This is in fantastic condition, with no splits or heavy creases to the laminate. The open sides are undamaged, front and back.

The Inner Tray:

The matt black card is completely intact, only displaying some fairly mild creases, mainly to the flaps.

The Book Tray:

This extremely fragile item is still intact, its weakest points being next to the four corners where the book sits. In the photo above, the top corners are undamaged, the lower ones are torn but still held together where the card is folded to create the frame. Overall, apart from this, it is in lovely condition, having no other problems. It is worth bearing in mind that because of the difficulty in removing the heavy book from the tray, many were discarded and so, are often missing from the set. The last photo shows a brand new replica replacement for the two trays, which I will include, in case you want to use them instead of the originals.

The Get Back Book:

So named because this was to be the original album title before it became Let It Be. This houses a fabulous collection of photographs from the live sessions at Twickenham studios. Some of the pages are loose, which is a common fault with this publication but having spent most of the past 41 years inside the package, it is in great condition.

The Record and Sleeve:

Both 1st issues of course, the cover, with its red apple, is in good order, with no major faults, just the expected laminate creases and mild disc impression. The 2U/2U record is near mint, with the gleaming, unmarked vinyl delivering audio perfection from near silent grooves, both sides. Some spindle trails are evident but apart from this, the labels are flawless.

The plain white inner sleeve is in good condition, with just mild age toning and a few creases.

All in all, a fabulous addition for the serious collector.

Please note: This is a heavy item, mainly due to the book, hence the postage cost. Thank you.

I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.
