Description
Beatles,Please Please Me,LP, Catalogue Number: (PMC 1202), Cover Details: Front laminated flipback with a Company inner sleeve.
Cover Condition: less than very good condition. Please see pictures and description.
Record Condition: Has been played a lot with surface marks clearly showing & the odd scratch which can be felt and will most likely affect play with background noise, possibly with some jump(s)/skip(s)/Stick(s) etc.
Any Other Details: Original mono first pressing, on the very rare black and gold Parlophone record label. Matrix numbers XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. The labels have Dick James Music Credits. There are no tax codes on either labels. This record has been listened to and on our record player, the results are as follows:- Side 1, track 1 has 4 scrapes on the run in before any music starts and 1 tiny jump in the introduction after the 1,2,3,4, and before any other singing, the rest of the track is excellent. Track 2 is excellent. Track 3 is excellent apart from several very light clicks. Tracks 4, 5 and 6 are excellent. There are 2 pops/short scrapes between tracks 6 & 7, track 7 plays excellently. Side 2, track 1 excellent apart from 1 click. Track 2 has a few light clicks. Tracks 3, 4 & 5 have some light crackles. Track 6 plays with a scraping noise, track 7 has a horrible scratch which goes around with the grooves, it causes the record to stick in the introduction, once the stylus has been lifted over it the rest of the track is excellent. There is some surface crackling between tracks. The sleeve is the first pressing with the Angus Mcbean credit at the far right corner and the E J Day printers credit on the back. The front has a small surface tear at the bottom edge and a few creases. The back has the track times written in pen. There is some age related discoloration and a few scrapes on the surface. The bottom edge is torn all along the flipback, it has sellotape residue all the way across. Complete with its original emtex polylined inner sleeve, which is in very good condition but yellowed and has a few light creases but no splits or stains. So Generally not a bad copy of this very rare collectable although not perfect but then this is silly money if you can ever find it near perfect so here is a chance to buy a playable copy at a reasonable price.
