I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
This promo is one of the toughest to find in the Apple catalogue.
It has the distinction of being the second Apple promo 45 of an Apple artist, released in the States, following only Trash’s 45 promo, “Road to Nowhere.” (Which is seemingly where THAT record went.)
It also has the distinction of including George and Paul in the band.
But the most significant thing about this promo is that it mistakenly lists the song as “Carolina On My Mind,” as opposed to “Carolina In My Mind.”
Tough piece!
Vinyl: EX/EX. Light blemishes only on each side, and so few that at first glance the record looks NM on both sides!
Plates: A1/A1. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.
Labels: EX/EX. Only the smallest label blemishes on both sides. Side 2 label has minimal dirtwear.
Sleeve: NM. Original “The Beatles on Apple” sleeve looks as close to factory-pressed as can be. A few tiny flaws, but one of the best Apple sleeves I’ve seen.
A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your Company Sleeve during shipping.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
