Beatles-Related 1974 Apple PROMO 45 Paul McCartney Sally G, EX!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

For auction this week are two McCartney promo 45’s, which were commercially issued as the A and B sides of the same single.  Mono/Stereo versions of “Junior’s Farm” and “Sally G.”

Released as the B-side to the “Junior’s Farm” single, this is the scarcer of the two.  The mono mix is a reduction mix of the Stereo version.  Still a tough piece!

Vinyl: EX/VG+.  Hard to grade this one.  Just a few very light marks per side.  Too strong for VG+, just a hash mark under EX.

Plates: F1/F1.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Labels: VG+/EX.  Side 1 label looks like there was a sticker removed, which left a slight tear to the top of the label.  See photo.  Side 2 looks almost NM, with the exception of one light spindle mark.

Sleeve: EX both sides.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your Company Sleeve during shipping.

And just for fun, if you win them both, I’ll include a nice VG+ copy of the commercial single from the Jacksonville plant.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
