Beatles-Related 45 First Press 1968 Thingumybob Black Dyke Mills Band SCARCE NM!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Collectors know that this 45 was one of the first four records released on the newly-formed Apple label in 1968.  Because the tune was the theme to a British TV show, it didn’t chart in the States.  Not many copies are around, and of the ones that are, you tend not to find them in this condition.

Sleeve:  VG.  Apple sleeve is the rarest 1971 west coast Apple sleeve with no “The Beatles on Apple” print, but does have the thumb tab.  Each seam has a small center split.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl:  NM/ NM.  Store-stock, brand new condition!  A stunner for your collection.

Labels:  EX/ EX.  This title, as well as The Beatles’ own first pressing-only “Hey Jude” had some element to them, where the very outer edge tended to fade over the decades.  Apart from that, the labels are gorgeous NM.

Plates:  F1/ F1.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

This is the finest copy you will ever find.  Archival quality.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
