Description
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “STRAIGHT UP” by Badfinger
· This is Apple Records SAPCORE 19 and is a UK issue.
· This LP was released around December 13, 1971.
· Badfinger was one of the Beatles’ “First Four” new artists released under their new Apple Records label.
· Badfinger was referred to as “The Apple House Band” by George Harrison during The Concert For Bangladesh.
· This LP, with 12 cuts, has become one of Badfinger’s most desirable LPs, as it contains 2 of their top singles hits: “Baby Blue” and “Day After Day”.
· Todd Rundgren produced all but 4 of the cuts on this LP. Those 4 cuts were produced by George Harrison.
· The LP COVER is the thin, laminated cover “printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd.” It is in STRONG VG CONDITION. There is overall wear on the cover, but it looks great! Check out the images. There is some wear on 3 corners and a tiny corner push on one corner. There are a few small and light creases near the top edge and opening. There are a few small areas of minor separation of the laminate near the top left and top right, bottom left and on the small creases on the rear cover near the spine. Sounds like a lot of problems with the cover, but check the images. They’re really not that bad. Often the U.S. cover of this LP shows lots of ring wear very easily.
· The VINYL is in VG+ CONDITION with just a few light hairline scuffs.
