Description
HERE IS A VERY NICE CAPITOL RECORDS PROMOTIONAL 45 RPM 7-INCH RECORD.
In this auction:
· “MY SWEET LORD” b/w “MY SWEET LORD (2000)” by George Harrison
· This record was issued January, 2001.
· This is CAPITOL RECORDS 7PRO 7087 6 15930 7 5.
· This is a RARE WHITE LABEL PROMO COPY: Vinyl is identified as promo on the labels and picture sleeve also identified as promo on the rear.
· On the labels and on the reverse side of the picture sleeve are printed “PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY/NOT FOR SALE”.
· As you probably know, PROMO RECORDS were issued in VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES and released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay. They were NOT made available to the general public.
· This PROMO RECORD was issued to promote the release of the “All Things Must Pass” 2-CD set that would be “IN STORES JANUARY 23, 2001” which is printed on the rear of the picture sleeve.
· Note that this Promo Record has a small spindle play hole, not a large play hole typical of 7-inch records.
· The VINYL (both sides) is NEAR MINT.
· The record comes in a PROMO PICTURE SLEEVE that has the same artwork on the front of the sleeve that was on the original 45 RPM record when it was first released in 1970.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in NICE NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION with a very slight/light bump where the center pay hole would be, a tiny push/crease at top right corner, and a slight bend/crease near the lower right side at the opening
· This is a hard sleeve (light poster-board). It is also a side-loading sleeve.
