Original UK 26th May 1967 1st press Mono copy of The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Released on the yellow Parlophone label PMC 7027 - see photos for matrix numbers/mothers & stampers.
The record has been deep ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter cleaner & has come up spotlessly clean with good lustre retained. Some visible scuffs, hairlines & marks ( see photos). Graded VG - plays mostly closer to VG+ but read playnotes below.
The vinyl plays through mostly well with clear, warm & vibrant mono sound. There were two issues of note;
Side 1 Track 4 Getting Better - there is a needle jam/stick part way through. Side 2 Track 3 Lovely Rita - there is one small jump.
Otherwise an enjoyable listen with some noise/crackle in places typical of vinyl of this vintage.
The fully laminated gatefold sleeve is showing signs of wear to all edges and corners with the spine completely gone. A tear to the inside of the gatefold.
Non original paper inner sleeve,however, we have popped the record into a fresh poly lined inner sleeve to preserve it after cleaning - you will receive both.
No cut out sheet included with this copy.
