Beatles-related Discotheque in Astrosound 1965 Compilation LP in Very Nice Cond

Here is an early, uncommon, and somewhat obscure compilation LP with The Beatles on it.

In this auction:

• “DISCOTHEQUE IN ASTROSOUND” LP

• This LP is Clarion 609.

• It is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING that was released in June of 1965.

• This LP contains an early recording of The Beatles with Tony Sheridan, “Take Out Some Insurance Baby”. It was included because in 1965 The Beatles were hot recording artists, and ALL of the record labels (except Capitol Records, of course) were trying to find, gain the rights to and release any and every recording made by The Beatles no matter how early or obscure! Therefore, Clarion released this LP with the cut “Take Out Some Insurance Baby” by The Beatles With Tony Sheridan.

• This is one of the more popular Beatles Compilation Albums (compilation albums being LPs with recordings by various artists and containing Beatles’ recordings legitimately released in the U.S.).

• Other artists on this LP are Ray Charles, Bobby Darin, Ben E. King, The Drifters and The Swallows (who performed “I Want To Hold Your Hand”).

• The COVER LOOKS VERY NICE. It is in VERY STRONG VG+ to NM- (NEAR MINT MINUS) CONDITION.

• The VINYL is in NEAR MINT to NM-(NEAR MINT MINUS) CONDITION with just a few very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feel-able”).

It’s a VERY NICE COPY of this LP if you’re looking for one for your Beatles vinyl collection.
