Description
This record was mastered by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in 2008. 10,000 black vinyl records were pressed, and they sold out immediately. Four years later, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab entered the growing popular arena of Record Store Day with repressing Sea Change, since its original run was so immensely successful. Only 1000 were produced this time, but on pink vinyl, making these even harder to find than the black records that people don't seem to want part with.
Given that it has already been pressed twice, there is basically no chance of it ever being pressed again. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's pressing of Beck's Sea Change has gained a reputation of one of the best sounding vinyl records in the world. This version up for sale is an extremely low number (0009/1000).
Sleeve condition: near mint - visual grading - 9/10. Very conservative grading here since this is such a valuable record. There is some minor wear on the top sleeve corners, which I have emphasized in the fourth photo. Everything else looks mint.
Vinyl records/inner sleeves condition: assumed mint, unopened - 10/10.
This record is extremely sought after and will likely fetch a four figure price tag in the not too distant future. This assessment is based off of its sales history around the internet, and other Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab records that are low quantity runs with a large interest base, such as Santana, Bill Evans, and Pink Floyd.
With the value of this record, I only feel comfortable shipping it first class, insured, with signature required (hence the high shipping cost). Returns only accepted for damaged record during shipping, with record unopened.
