Description

"Bed Bug Blues" b/w "High Geared Mama," two early raunchy country blues titles by Jimmie Davis, featuring pal Buddy Jones on guitar & vocal comments. Recorded March 21, 1936 and issued on Decca 5206. These sides are in the style of Davis's collectible sides on Victor, before he departed from country blues to sing more smoother sounding country vocals like "You Are My Sunshine." Condition is V+/V. Very nice performances. Bill Harper featured on fiddle on "B" side.
