This is a magnificent 8 LP box set of Beethoven Edition 9 Symphonien by Wiener Philharmoniker, featuring the legendary composer Beethoven. The set comes in a beautiful gold color with paper sleeves, and the vinyl material is in mint condition.
The set includes all of Beethoven's symphonies and is perfect for various occasions such as Christmas, weddings, birthdays, Thanksgiving, and New Year's celebrations. The record label is Deutsche Grammophon, and the release year is 1977 with a record size of 12". The set is an exquisite addition to any classical music lover's collection.

Better sounding Vinyl than CD..

If you have reached the point of buying a Vinyl record rather than a CD, or just curious, pls let me write a few notes on my choice of the Vinyl version vs. CD of Böhms Symphonic cycle of Beethoven's 9 with the Vienna Ph.
The sound engineering and mixing that goes into vinyl records is much more precise and unusual. In a CD every instrument is taken to the loudest point, then mixed together, then compressed to the loudest point possible.
The difference in listening is that on a vinyl, the separation between the instruments is very easy to hear. But in CDs ( also in MP3s ) every instrument is as loud as every other instrument or voice. That's why record labels love CDs, because they can increase the volume of the music at the expense of the musicality. No matter how close together and small the digital sampling is, there will always be space between them. The information on a CD will never be a continuos flow of sound.
In short with Vinyl, you have to put the volume louder than a CD, yet you hear and feel every instrument breath naturally and individually with a clear sense of space and dimension. With CD you get no noise, higher volumen, yet an all cluttered sound, as if all the instruments were aligned together in the same row, and a mic set into each one of them..not a clear first choice for audiophiles..
