DESCRIPTION:
- Beethoven - Fidelio - Klemperer Ludwig - Vickers P/O. Cat no: SAX 2451-3 BLUE / SILVER UK 1st PRESSING STEREO COLUMBIA. Performed by Christa Ludwig, Jon Vickers, Gottlob Frick, Walter Berry, Gerhard Unger, Franz Crass and Ingeborg Hallstein with the Philharmonia Orchestra and chorus conducted by Otto Klemperer.

CONDITION:
Items described with an aural grade have been carefully played on a Garrard 301 turntable with an SME 312s tonearm and Koetsu Rosewood cartridge. All records are viewed under magnified light and cleaned on a wet vac cleaning machine (See above)
We treat grading very seriously and use the UK Record Collector grading scale with the addition of a (+) or (– ) to denote a slight increase or decrease in condition.
Box
The box displays well with the central front image retaining it’s full colour. The the corners are worn / rounded and split. All text is fully legible and correct = Very Good (VG)

Libretto
Shows some staining and creases – all text fully legible. No tears, stamps or notations = Very good plus (VG+)
Records:
The surfaces of the three disks feature a full lustre under angled magnified light, lightest sleeve marks only. The B/s labels show no writing rips or tears. Barely any signs of use to the spindle holes, Condition grade visually = Excellent plus (EX+)

Grading Guide:
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklets etc are in perfect condition.Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
NEAR MINT: Very close to Mint with only the slightest signs of play and the very lightest paper chaffing only to the surfaces of the record. The cover shows only the very slightest wear
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Packaging:
Records within the inner sleeve will be removed from the cover and sandwiched between professional card stiffeners then inserted into a protective plastic sleeve. This package is then placed within a professional cruciform record mailer (N.B: We do not use cheap mailers)
Shipping:
Any record sold with a value in excess of £10 will be shipped with a minimum of a signature requirement upon delivery. Please note that Box sets due to weight may cost more than £4 to ship (In this instance the true cost of shipping will be added to your eBay purchase invoice). The actual cost of shipping is charged we do not profit in any way from shipping costs
