RARE 1st pressing, sax 2259, blue silver LABELS, made in england, flipback sleeve
condition:
the vinyl looks in superb near mint condition with no visible marks. clean labels. when it sits on the turntable, i notice there a very minor edge lift, not affecting performance
when it plays, there are some tics and pops in places. this may be because there is dust in the grooves, as it has not been played for more than 50 years. maybe the sound can improve with professional cleaning
unfortunately, many old classical LP have this issue where the sound is not perfect like in a CD and there is little background noise, so note that point before you buy
so, i grade visually as EX+/NM and to play as a VG+.

Record Collector's Grading System
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover or any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packing might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite notable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
