Beethoven: The Piano Trios Performed by: Daniel Barenboim - Piano Pinchas Zukerman - Violin Jacqueline Du Pre - Cello Gervase De Payer - Clarinet
EMI early colour dog label. Cat. No. SLS 789/5 (ASD 2569 - 2573)
5 LP box set with 8 page booklet. All LPs on the early colour dog in stamp label. The first pressing for this set. Each LP is housed in the original poly-lined inner apart from one, which is in an EMI branded cellophane lined inner.
Condition (please see grading at bottom of listing) ASD 2569. Side 1 EX+. Side 2 NM ASD 2570. Sides 1 & 2 EX+ ASD 2571. Side 1 EX+. Side 2 VG+ (one very light and faint scratch) ASD 2572. Side 1 EX+. Side 2 NM ASD 2573. Side 1 NM. Side 2 EX+ EX+ sides just have the faintest sleeve withdrawal marks barely visible under the halogen lamp. All records have a wonderful gloss.
- All labels are clean and unmarked apart from single faint spindle trails on both sides of ASD 2572. All other labels do not even have spindle trails. Clearly a careful previous owner.
- Box has a small area of indentations on the front, the residue of a removed label, and a 1" split on one edge (pictured).
- Booklet is pristine.

EXCELLENT+ / VERY GOOD
GRADING GUIDE - IMPORTANT!
I visually examine all records under a strong 35w halogen lamp, which shows up ALL defects, as opposed to normal room lighting under which most records appear Near Mint.
I strictly grade my records according to the Rare Record Price Guide (RRPG), which, to me, means as follows:
MINT- Must be sealed
NEAR MINT - Totally unmarked, no scratches, not even faint 'hairlines' / sleeve withdrawal marks or any other signs of having been played.
EXCELLENT - No scratches, just signs of having been played, such as the odd faint 'hairline' sleeve withdrawal mark that is barely visible under a strong lamp, or spindle trails on the label.
VERY GOOD - The first scratches have begun to appear, but only very, very few.
GOOD - More scratches than Very Good and more severe, but I am confident that the record will play through without skips or sticking and will still provide a good listening experience.
FAIR - The record may not play through properly with a chance of it jumping and / or it will play with significant background noise.
POOR - It definitely won't play without skipping or sticking.
Below Near Mint I will use plus or minus with a grade to highlight fine differences.
For the description of scratches I use: Light - Medium - Heavy.
