Recorded in 1951 at the Bayreuth Festival.
Artists: Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Höngen, Hans Hopf & Otto Edelmann.
1st press grooved red & gold HMV labels - ALP.1286
'RT' tax/price code on side 1 & 4 labels.
Housed in fully laminated 'Mardons' printed half-moon flipback covers.

Just a few light spindle trails to the side 2 label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, totally unmarked & 'as new' surfaces both in strong daylight & directly under halogen light. There are no scuffs, marks or scratches to either side.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This oustanding disc recieved just a few careful plays on Garrard 401 deck with an SME arm and a Stanton cartridge after purchase and bears no significant or major audible faults or wear.
Cover: NEAR MINT
Faultless & essentially 'as new'.

Labels: 3. EXCELLENT 4. NEAR MINT
Some minor hole wear and spindle trails to the side 3 label.
Visual: 3. EXCELLENT 4. NEAR MINT
As fine and glossy as the first disc apart from three tiny 3 mm scratches on side 3 and a single 2cm light fingernail line on side 4.
Audio: 3. EXCELLENT 4. NEAR MINT
This disc has a few noticeable clicks towards the beginning of side 3. However, the remainder of the disc plays perfectly. There are of course no jumps, repeats or any other significant or major audible faults anywhere.
