Beethoven Violin Concerto Milstein Aust Columbia SAXO 2508
Nathan Milstein with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Erich Leinsdorf performs the “Violin Concerto” of Beethoven. An Australian pressing on the Columbia Label (SAXO 2508), the labels are blue/green with silver “radio waves” and border, and black lettering and stereophonic flash. There is some marking (“rubbing”) on side two that causes a few clicks and some low-level surface noise, otherwise the record is of very good appearance, and plays and sounds superb with occasional surface noise. The cover (English front/Australian back) has rubbed with a slight ring and a couple of creases in the laminate and along the right-hand edge.
