Beethoven Violin Sonatas 2 & 4 Grumiaux Arrau Philips 9500 263
Arthur Grumiaux with Claudio Arrau performs the “Violin Sonatas” No’s 2 and 4 of Beethoven. A Dutch stereo pressing on the Philips Label (9500 263), the record is of immaculate appearance, and the cover is excellent.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
