Beethoven Violin Sonatas 5 & 9 Mischa Elman UK Decca LXT 5126
Mischa Elman with Joseph Seiger perform the “Violin Sonatas Nos 5 (“Spring”) and 9 (“Kreutzer”) of Beethoven. An original English mono pressing on the Decca Label (LXT 5126 stampers 4D/2D), the labels are orange with gold lettering and this is a “pancake” pressing. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with some low-level surface noise. The cover has rubbed a little with a small tear on the left-hand edge.
