Belgian Bitch Same Time Incredibly rare 3-track Punk Powerpop KBD 1981 Out Of Town Michelle Beatles Cover
LISTEN TO BOTH SIDES IN THEIR ENTIRETY RIGHT HERE!!! WELL OK, THEN ONE PLAYING SIDE! ...PLUS LOADS OF OTHER RARE PUNK/NEW/WAVE/INDIE RECORDS LISTED OVER NEXT WEEK OR SO! CHECK THEM OUT here in my other items! (Please check before bidding for international rates, many thanks! This recording comes direct from the vinyl copy you are now bidding on, straight out of my NAD amp, into my ZOOM H2 recorder, recording directly into MP3. When including these recordings for this purpose I make no audio tweaks in any way to the audio recording I have done, I do not alter the weight of the stylus, though I do use a fresh stylus, as, I'm sure we're all aware, is healthy to do anyway, very regularly!
This is a very hard to find 3 track 7" by Belgian Bitch. To my knowledge it was pressed in TINY amounts and never had a picture sleeve. Released in 1981 on the short-lived but sought after Out Of Town Records HOOT 2, it features three songs, 1 on the A-side, "Same Time Same Place", and 2 on the B-side, "Michelle" (Beatles Cover) and "Can't Say No To You", all songs (apart from The Beatles cover), were original to Belgian Bitch. The track "Can't Say No To You", (as noted on the label) was featured on the Out Of Town sampler LP "In And Out Of Town" (HOOT LP 1), and it also transpires that "Michelle" was also featured on the next Out Of Town LP, another sampler "The Art Of Selections", though no mention can I find of Same Time Same Place being featured on any album... Really good caliber Punk/Powerpop/KBD style tracks, with a slight glam twinge in the vocal stylings of "Can't Say No To You", and VERY hard to get hold of. I've only seen one other come up 3 years ago, so if you want it... BID!
Disc Condition: VG- sadly not been fully cared for, with general light surface marks, the odd slightly more heavy abrasion, (one feel-able scratch on side 1 (luckily straight across grooves about 8mm long), and a couple of lightly feelable small marks right at the start of side 2), though plays through fine, has a little background noise here and there, please listen for yourself, I have a habit of knocking down grades when I know something's rare for fear of negative feedback! I think this is about right though!
Labels Condition: A-side: VG+ free of writing etc, slight sign of either another label underneath, else a fainter double print to this label at a slightly different angle! Very slight shelf discolouration, a handful of light spindle marks when held up to good light. B-side: VG just a tad worse than the A-side label, same goes for this side (minus the double printing!), plus a small area of small abrasions that have caused minor discolouration in places between the 4 o'clock and the 6'oclock mark of the label.
