Bellini Norma Callas UK Columbia SAX 2412/3/4
Maria Callas, Franco Corelli, Christa Ludwig, Nicola Zaccaria and others with the Orchestra and Chorus of La Scala Opera House conducted by Tullio Serafin perform the opera “Norma” by Bellini. A three record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAXO 2412 /2413/2414 ), the labels are blue with silver “radio waves” and border, and black stereophonic flash. The records have some light surface scuffs, mainly on record one – but otherwise the records are of very good appearance and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box is fine on the front, but the back has some bad silverfish damage, mainly along the edges, but other has some minor wear to the edges and corners and is otherwise in very good condition. It comes with the original cardboard and tissue paper inserts, note sheet and a libretto.
