Description
Decent listening copy of this 1962 soul classic from Ben E King on London Atlantic. This is the UK first pressing and has survived the last 60+ years well.
The front laminated sleeve has some browning and spotting due to age and some edge creases but overall is sound condition with only minor wear. Clearly readable spine. It grades VG+.
The vinyl plays through fine with no jumps or sticks - just a little background noise at times. The vinyl retains its gloss and while there are some surface lines and marks - including one noticeable one on Side 2 - these do not impact the audio. There is nothing feelable. It grades VG+ if not slightly better.
The purple and silver London Atlantic labels are in fine shape with few signs of wear, and grade Excellent.
The original wax paper lined 'Emitex' inner sleeve has some corner creasing and a little rubbing to the bottom edge, but no seam splits. It grades Very Good.
A very listenable original first pressing with plenty more life in it.
