Excellent and rare late 60s lp with a fantastic musique concrete work that uses filtered organ sounds as source material to create subtly textured atmospheres, realized at the Studio di Fonologia in Milan, one of the earliest electronic music studios (where Hambraeus worked alongside John Cage, Henri Pousseur, Luigi Nono, Andre Boucourechliev, Luciano Berio, and Bruno Maderna). Also includes an experimental organ composition performed by Karl Erik Welen, making for a great showcase of both the electronic and acoustic facets of this avant garde composer.

Hambraeus was a Swedish composer and organist influenced by Edgard Varese, Anton Webern, and John Cage; he attended the Darmstadt new music courses in the 50s, where he associated with Olivier Messiaen, Pierre Boulez, Luigi Nono, and Karlheinz Stockhausen, and he worked at the Studio di Fonologia in Milan, one of the first electronic music studios. • This lp was issued by the legendary Limelight electronic-psych-jazz label (with a gorgeous psychedelic cover) known for their releases of Pierre Henry, Mecki Mark Men, Fifty Foot Hose, Dick Raaijmakers, Tom Dissevelt, The Electrosoniks, Beaver & Krause, Henk Badings, Ruth White, Roland Kirk, Paul Bley, Electronic Concept Orchestra, and Melvin Jackson, and should also be of interest to fans of Iannis Xenakis, Gyorgy Ligeti, Francois Bayle, Pierre Schaeffer, Vladimir Ussachevsky, Ilhan Mimaroglu, Otto Luening, Gottfried Michael Koenig, Luc Ferrari, Bernard Parmegiani, Tod Dockstader, Richard Maxfield, Pauline Oliveros, Alvin Lucier, Folke Rabe, and Jon Appleton. Packing - I pack professionally and with the utmost care drawn from years of experience trading vinyl internationally. I use new record mailers from Cameron Packaging (which I have determined are the best and most protective) reinforced with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap padding. All records are shipped with poly plastic sleeves and with the vinyl outside of the cover to prevent damage. All packages are completely sealed with strong packing tape covering all openings.
