Description
Bennie Green - Back On the Scene
Catalog # Blue Note BLP1587
1958 1st Pressing. MONO deep groove label. 47 W. 63rd label. New York 23 address on back of sleeve. RVG and “ear” in deadwax of the lp.
Media = VG+. I am trying to be conservative with this grade. The lp is clean, shiny, and glossy. It has a few light marks which do not affect play. There are some light paper sleeve bleed marks on the lp from age. With a good ultra-sonic cleaner I am 100% confident this thing would present as EX. I have play tested the lp several times. There are no skips or overwhelming pops ANYWHERE on EITHER side of the lp. There is some SUPER light static throughout roughly the first half of the 1st side of the lp and the 1st song of the second side. It is very low, cannot be detected among the loud passages and does not overwhelm the quiet ones. All in all this is an awesome example of this rare LP. A strong, strong ultra sonic clean will do wonders.
Sleeve = VG+. There are no rips, tears, or bends. No writing. The back of the sleeve which is mostly white isn’t terribly discolored which is something you often see with these. There is a slight natural bend starting in the sleeve from the heavy laminate still doing its job really, really well. Check out the pics!
I grade using Goldmine Standards.
I use brand new mailers, sleeves, and inserts to make sure your record lands your way in the same shape it was sent out in.
