Description

Benny Carter and strings with Oscar Peterson Quartet      Alone Together     Norgran 1058     deep groove silver and black label  

 

 Benny Carter (as), Oscar Peterson (p), Ray Brown (b), Buddy Rich and strings   Recorded 1952

 

Black and silver label with deep groove and "trumpet" both sides. "  Cover is "frame" style. 

 

   Record looks VG++ and plays VG+.   No scuffs and no scratches.  Grooves are not gray or damged but there are spindle marks.  Record plays with light noise probably due to some play and pressing quality.                

The cover is VG+ to VG++.

  The front cover is glossy and bright with light wear.  There's two small pieces of the slick missing at the bottom of the pocket.   The back cover has some staining, fading, light ring wear and small writing in pen at top of pocket. Bottom seam has tight, not very noticeable 3 inch, untaped split in the middle.  Spine is very faded but intact and readable.  

  I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
