Description
Both Columbia 2LP Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert LPs SL160 and SL180 - 1937/1938
Rare box sets in very nice shape. SL-180 appears to be autographed by the man himself. I haven't had it verified by a professional but after looking around at other examples of Benny's signature, I'm pretty sure it is legit.
SL-160's box has splits in the edges of the cover and maybe an 1" missing from the bottom edge, but box and the interior book and sleeves are in great shape. The LPs are currently in audiopihle MFSL inner sleeves. The sides range from maybe VG+ to NM-
SL-180's box is in great shape with no splits or seperation. The interior book and sleeves are in great shape. The autograph and a 'Beerman's Music House, Inc" stamp are on the inside front. These LPs are also in audiopihle MFSL inner sleeves and also range from maybe VG+ to NM-
The list of players is very impressive. Harry James, Count Basie, Teddy Wilson, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton, Ziggy Elman and more.
My grading scale is like this: NM, EX, VG, G, F, P. But I never sell anything less than VG. Check the pictures and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. See my other auctions for more great records - combine winnings to save on shipping.
