LP: BERLIN - Information

 

rare debut lp of this Californian band which later had a massive hit with the GIORGIO MORODER production "Take My Breath Away" (from the "Top Gun" Soundtrack. Obviously "Information" only was released in Germany and now is hard to find and very sought after. Musical style is more new wave than the following albums and has a  DEVO touch but also strong SYNTH / MINIMAL SYNTH influences. You can check several tracks on youtube ("City Lights", "Mind Control", "Modern World", a.o.)

Die LP spielt bei mir sehr gut und ohne zu hängen oder zu springen und nur an wenigen Stellen mit leichtem Knistern / etwas Kancken. Eine professionelle Reinigung und regelmäßiges Abspielen wird die Klangqualität noch einmal verbessern.
