Description
Here's a very interesting 1947 reissue of 8 Bessie Smith sides, from her early '20's heyday through to the early 1930's. Two of the sides: See If I'll Care, and Baby, Have Pity On Me, were issued on this release for the first time. The other sides include: Gimme A Pigfoot b/w Take Me For A Buggy Ride; Do Your Duty b/w I'm Down In The Dumps; and New Orleans Hop Scop Blues b/w Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out.
Condition description: all discs generally intact, as are all labels. Discs are only visually graded. Box and sleeves intact with light edge wear. Inner sheet with recording information is beginning to delaminate.
