Bessie Smith Empress of the Blues C31 4 LP Record Album
Bessie Smith (April 15, 1894 – September 26, 1937) was an American blues singer.
Nicknamed The Empress of the Blues, Smith was the most popular female blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s. She is often regarded as one of the greatest singers of her era and, along with Louis Armstrong, a major influence on other jazz vocalists. Cake Walking Babies (From Home), had never been released before. This was the fourth of Columbia's exemplary Hot Jazz Classics albums compiled by later record producer and executive, George Avakian, then a 20-year-old Yale student.
You can see by examining each of the records that there are no scratches. I have not played any of these but they do look to be in excellent condition. The Album cover does have some wear in the corners and some fading on the cover design but it is still durable and has all of its sleeves in very good condition.
