Description

78RPM BLOWOUT: I have now decided to venture into strange territory FOR ME! I am about to start listing some of the several hundred 78rpm records that I have stored within my climate-controlled "VinylVault". SEPTEMBER 15TH UPDATE: As of about an hour ago, I have finally obtained a working 78rpm turntable. So please feel free to contact me if you would like me to test-play one or both sides of this platter.!!!) As always, you have this promise from me: As evidenced by my high (and still increasing) POSITIVE eBay Feedback record, please continue to trust that I will do everything possible to properly VISUALLY identify this record (both sides and their labels) so that you may bid on these records with the usual complete confidence that you have grown accustomed to receiving from me when purchasing my different 45rpm items. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Looking for 45rpms? I have created an EXCEL data base for the following two categories of 50's/60's music: (1) ORIGINAL 45rpm records and/or picture sleeves that are visually in VG++ or better condition (some of the picture sleeves may be 1-2 grades lower IF they are being offered with a higher grade record); and (2) REISSUE 45rpm records that are visually in near mint or mint condition....almost all of them are UNPLAYED. Nearly every one of the reissue items has been priced in the $2.25 to $2.50 price range in order to SELL....SELL...SELL !!! Email me if you would like me to send you one or both of these data bases!!! Thanks!

RECORD ARTIST(s): Bessie Smith
TITLES ON RECORD #1: "Cold In Hand Blues" bw "You've Geen A Good Ole Wagon"
TITLES ON RECORD #2: "Cake Walking Babies" bw "Young Woman's Blues"
TITLES ON RECORD #3: "Baby Doll" bw "Lost Your Head Blues"
TITLES ON RECORD #4: "Empty Bed Blues, Part I" bw "Empty Bed Blues, Part II"
COMPANY LABEL: Columbia Records album C31 (composed of record labels 35672, 35673, 35674 and 35675)
VISUAL GRADING OF VINYL: All four records are either VG++ or near mint.
CONDITION OF LABELS: As I have mentioned within previous auctions, the previous owner liked to "mark his turf" by placing two crossing scratches across almost all of his 78rpm labels.
TYPE OF SLEEVE: Comes in its original VG++ album. As the scan reflects, the cover reflects some very light storage wear the side seams. The inner front/back covers are both near mint; and the sleeves are all mint. But that's it folks, just some light storage/seam wear on the front. This old album jacket really did its job over the past 50 years.....and of course, this is A GREAT ALBUM for the Bessie Smith fans.

THE FINE PRINT:

Upon request, I will consolidate your multiple winning auction items for up to two weeks.
PayPal Instant Payments will cause your item(s) to ship the within 1-2 days (I go to the post office every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings).
US dollars are obviously okay with me. BUT you use this option at your own risk; and PLEASE disguise the envelope content VERY CAREFULLY! Your item(s) will ship within 1-2 days (I go to the post office every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings) after receipt.
Money orders and cashier checks will also allow me to ship your item(s) within 1-2 days (I go to the post office every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings) after I receive it.
Personal checks are acceptable, but dependent upon your eBay approval rating I may reserve the right to wait for it to clear (no more than ten work days) before I will be able to ship the item(s).
Shipment charges: TRUST ME, I hate these 78rpm rates as much as you do! These are preliminary charges (NO mailer or extra charges will ever be added by me!) that I received from my local post office. I will be HAPPY TO VERIFY your actual charges PRIOR TO YOUR PAYMENT.....just please email with that request. Please use the following tables for shipment cost calculation. (USA CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: Due to the combined weight of these 78rpm records and their associated mailer (including protective packing material), the post office WILL NOT PROVIDE "1st Class Mail" shipment as a shipment service. THEREFORE, I am listing "Media Mail" as the available method of shipment. "Priority Mail" is also obviously available, but the post offices temperamental rates are driven by your USA zip code.....PLEASE EMAIL ME (JimsVinylVault@AOL.Com) if their quoted shipment cost for "Priority Mail" is important to your bid consideration or winning bid payment amount. Additional 78rpms are as stated within the following table....but again, this table is only for "Media Mail"! Insurance is strickly up to you!
