Blowing cornet nearly throughout BOTH sides, Louis Armstrong

accompanies Bessie Smith as she sings "Reckless Blues" and

"Sobbin' Hearted Blues" on 78rpm flag label Columbia 14056-D.


Fred Longshaw provides further accompaniment on organ and piano.


Recorded in New York on January 14, 1925, the record is in

excellent-plus (E+) condition. There is a pressure mark, but no noise.

There could be a harmless crack under the B side label, but it doesn't

extend to the runoff.
