Description
Former American model, Betty Davis (born July 16, 1944 in Durham, North Carolina; died February 9, 2022 in Homestead, Pennsylvania) was an American funk and soul singer. She was known for her memorable live performances. She was married to jazz great Miles Davis from September 1968 until 1970.
Released in 1974, "They Say I'm Different" [Just Sunshine Records JSS-3500] is the second studio album released on a smaller label prior to her first major label release on Island Records in 1975 ["Nasty Gal"].
This copy is an original Presswell Pressing [variant 2, see notes, below]. The vinyl shows visible marks, but they do no affect playback. It also has had an ultrasonic cleaning last year and has not been played since. Based on this, the vinyl rating is Very Good [VG]. The cover shows extremely light ring wear, and since a lighter cardboard was used, there are some creases here and there and the spine is worn off over the title. Cover rating, Good Plus [G+]. The original, plain inner sleeve, with some wrinkles and small tears is also rated Good Plus [G+]. The included original poster has only a couple of creases near the upper left corner and one on the lower left corner. It is in Excellent condition.
