Description

Baron Elmo proudly presents a killer vinyl rarity from post-punk demolition men BIG BLACK: the limited edition of their Headache EP, issued in 1987 by Touch & Go. This version of their corrosive followup to the Atomizer LP came pressed on dark red vinyl, packed in a different cover featuring hideous photos of a shotgun-pulverized head on the front and back. Also included is a copy of the "Heartbeat" 7-inch, released around the same time, and a full-sized 12-page booklet with lots of cool stuff you didn't get with the basic EP. The whole enchilada comes packed in a customized black sleeve made from body bag vinyl. It's an amazing collectable, a true labor of love for hardcore Big Black fanatics, and if you've read this much of the description, odds are that you are one. The handful of copies that made it out there got snatched up quickly, making the Headache body bag set a real challenge to track down. Both records show very slight wear, but look great and play beautifully. The cover has a creased lower right-hand corner. One additional caveat: the 7-inch is supposed to be pressed on the same red vinyl as the EP, but this one isn't... leading us to suspect that the original single was lost or damaged, and got replaced with a copy of the regular black vinyl 7-inch. In light of this, we are offering this copy for half what we'd ask for one in mint condition with both records in red.
