Description

Unique piece of memorabilia, this is a set of record pressing plates used by a now out of business record plant to press copies of Bikini Kill's most 'I Like F*cking" b/w "I Hate Danger" ep from the mid 1990's. States that this set of plates was in use from 1996 to 1998. These plates were rescued from the trash when Alberti records closed its doors about 10 years back. All usable plates, mothers, and masters were sent back to the record companies that owned the rights to the recordings, any pieces that were obsolete were thrown in the dumpster. I rescued a few out of the trash and have held on to them for a while but these things are taking up space and i feel like they deserve a home with someone who is a bigger fan. Buying these plates does not transfer any sort of right to the music obviously, they are sold as memorabilia only. To take these to a pressing plant and try to use them would be illegal and they were thrown away meaning they were likely used to the point that they needed to be replaced. Each plate comes in a bag stating the side of the record, a record label for that side, and notes by the plant stating dates pressed, quantities, and any notes about flaws. Good Luck! Check out my other plates for sale!!
