Bilbo Baggins were a teenage Bovver Glam Rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland who existed between 1974 and 1976. “Saturday Night” was the band’s debut single, a yob rock-style terrace anthem written and produced by Bay City Rollers producers Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington, and it captures the 17-year old rockers at their Slade-inspired Bovver-Glam Proto-Punk best.
