Description

While this record was released under the name "Bill Haley and His Comets" to capitalize on the band's massive mid-1950s fame, it is historically a Bill Haley and His Saddle Men recording. Originally recorded in 1950 and released in the U.S. on the Atlantic label (727), these tracks capture the band's earlier "Cowboy-Jive" and country-boogie style, long before their global rock and roll breakthrough.
​Side A: "Why Do I Cry Over You" – A composition by J. De Knight and R. Keefer.
​Side B: "I'm Gonna Dry Ev'ry Tear With A Kiss" – Composed by B. Borrelli and M. Spickal, this track features the accomplished steel guitar work of Billy Williamson.
​This pressing is a significant artifact for discographical collectors interested in the pre-fame evolution of the Comets' sound.
