Let me just say, straightout … few blues or swinging jazz singers ever release a record of such potency as this one.
It was captured in 1977, live at the Times restaurant, where Bill sang with a host of close friends, in Joyce Collins on piano, Dave Mackay on a Fender Rhodes, Tom Azarello on bass, and Jimmy Smith on drums.
Is it very good? Oh yeah. Darn near fabulous, I tell you, Bill nailing down songs like no other and with sound produced second to none. (Fact is, his SEND IN THE CLOWNS is from this very album, which is highly touted by TAS.)
Other greats tunes are A SONG FOR YOU, EVERYBODY’S TALKING, LOVE IS A BUG, SWEET PUMPKIN, BLUES IN B-FLAT, JOEY, and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS, among others.
Not to be missed, as there are few albums of this caliber in your record library, I assure you, this one, factory sealed.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
