Description

A beautiful 1st press copy of Bill Plummer & The Cosmic Brotherhood's debut album from 1968, with sleeve and vinyl both in superb condition.
Vinyl is in great shape, no marks, smudges etc, plays almost perfectly without hisses, pops, jumps or interruptions.
Sleeve is hard card, still fully intact, no writing, tears or rips, spine is in perfect condition, front and back covers are still glossy.
Please note: there is a very small punch-hole in the top left-hand corner, but it is hardly noticeable.
**This LP is in fantastic shape and has been extremely well looked after by it's previous owners**

Bill Plummer was an American jazz bassist and sitar player who formed the Cosmic Brotherhood in 1967, signing a deal with the legendary Impulse! imprint later the same year.
The group's only LP, this self-titled album is a wonderful and rare example of Eastern-influenced psychedelic modal jazz, and is perhaps best known for two it's tracks: the bouncy opener 'Journey to the East', which has since been featured on a many a psychedelic compilation, and a gorgeous version of Burt Bacharach's and Hal David's 'The Look of Love'. 
Now considered a cult classic, 'Bill Plummer & The Cosmic Brotherhood' is a must for both jazz aficianado's, and those who enjoy the modal sounds of Alice Coltrane, Miles Davis, The Bill Evans Trio and Charles Lloyd.
